Thanks John. Shoreham SC are excited to be hosting the 12 champs in 2020 and look forward to seeing lots of old and new faces. Its our first champs at Shoreham for a while and we will be pulling out all the stops to ensure you have a great weekend on and off the water.
Whilst we are unable to run a National 12 open meeting in advance of the championships, all sailors are welcome to come and join in club racing on Sundays to get a feel for the wind and waves that Shoreham are famous for, or master the trickier off-shore breezes. Please let us know if you intend to come down so that we can ensure you are welcomed on arrival. We will share information here should we get a number of visiting 12s in case others would like to join in.
See you all in August next year.

I've replied to John offline, but if there is anyone else planning to bring dogs, then they are welcomed at Shoreham SC although we request that they be kept under control

Thanks to everyone that has let us know you're intending to come - it really does help with planning. There is plenty of room for camping, and space for campervans.

We're excited to be running a National 12 open on 15 and 16 June 2019. Shoreham SC offers safe and easy launching from our new slipway within Shoreham harbour, and a short sail out to the best sailing water on the south coast. The Notice of race is available on our website but in brief;

  • Briefing on Saturday not before 1130hrs.
  • Warning signal on Saturday 1335hrs.
  • Six races are scheduled - three on each day, but this will depend on the weather.
  • You will be sharing with the Wayfarer class.
It would be useful for our planning to have an idea of how many boats are coming so please reply if you intend to come or email ssccommodore@hotmail.com

Thanks
Sophie

We plan to sail Dead Cat Bounce at Chichester over the winter and it would be great if there were some other twelves to race against.

Racing starts this Sunday and is every other weekend, with two races back to back. We did it last year in the merlin and the race organisation was fantastic. They run two great series, the frozen toe up until christmas and then the frostbite afterwards - you can enter a series or by the day at a very reasonable £8.

See their website for more information and hopefully we will see some of you on the water.

Well done Graham and Zoe - an awesome and very well deserved result.

I know its all been said (a few times!), but the race management really was excellent in very tough conditions. Thanks to everyone involved - a fab weekend of sailing.

ok... so that sounded a bit prescriptive, but I didn't mean it to. If you want to sponsor Fran that would be really really great.

Fran is raising money for the RNLI and Shining Life. The RNLI you will already know about, but Shining Life you may not. It's a childrens trust that runs projects in Sri lanka supporting disadvantaged children and families.

(apologies for earlier poorly formatted posts - I should know better than to paste text from word or web pages!)
