In my opinion, and without resorting to rude adjectives to describe the Ent, no you are not missing anything. In the National Twelve we have the best two sail, small dinghy around.
But I guess we are all entitled to our own opinion.

Snow and Virgin West Coast permitting I will be there on Sunday. Happy to help out on stand, though I think I may have more questions than answers.

Afraid that I will not be bringing Boatyard Dog (N3495) down to play.

Hi Angus. Yes we will be sailing at Bardowie.
Hopefully we will manage at least one on Solway or Crammond

Boatyard Dog has moved a bit further north and has now taken up residence at Clyde Cruising Club.
Yesterday was our first sail of the year and first in a N12 for nearly thirty years. We could have picked a better day - rather cold with a horrible gusty easterly blowing. Unfortunately I cannot blame the conditions entirely for our escapades, but I think it is fair to say that Jim and I have quite a lot of re-learning to do! However, as they say we are looking forward to the challenge. I will post occasional bulletins, just in case anyone is interested. Who knows we may encourage other "older and heavier" crews to give it a go.

Boatyard Dog has arrived at Clyde Cruising Club to start the next chapter of his life (I feel a boat called boatyard dog should be a "he").
A return to N12 sailing after nearly thirty years, so quite a lot of re-learning required 😧
