My first National 12. Learnt to sail in N1903 a mk 9 with John Sears whilst at school at Repton. Purchased Gurgl from a farm in Sudbury, Derbyshire when I was 14/ 15. Sailed with success at Burton Sailing Club Branston with Wendy Shreeve. Sold to Repton School when I purchased Maxwells Demon. Dates and pictures to be confirmed!

Landslide N2959 was for sail earlier on in the year. I was offered her. I would have thought she still has a dagger board. Brilliant boat initially owned by Dave Peacock. Could be sailed anywhere despite what the class thought, Rivers, Gravel Pits, Norfolk, Salcombe with great success. Matt French I beleive may still own her.

Morning All,

N1932 was spotted at the Hampton Court Flower Show last week. She was on a Scandanavia themed stand. I think she would be better on the Thames.

Nice Picture! Need to look at the barrel to see when i won it. Two years in 2515 with Wendy and once in 2773 with the Merlin Sailors partner / wife who set up the ski place at Swad, John Kelly was it? I do remember filling the Barrel, it leaked! More pictures Malc, nice to catch up.

Is Peter Robinson the ledgendary 12 sailor and Hillman Imp driver and helm of Landslide when I knackered my back in Salcombe. Also did Chris Mark go to Repton school? Hopefully correct on both!

Remeber this boat possibly being made in a house in Clapham by Rob Peebles and or Peter Robinson. My ankle was in plaster, so were they! Legends, as was Landslide N2959, et al! The horn in Norfolk Peacock!

I learnt to sail with John Sears in Slick Chick. Early 70's at Burton Sailing Club, Branston. Cycling from Repton, legendary times. Even bought a mark 9, then Maxwells Demon from John, Rumpuss from Mal Macdougall and then Landslide from Dave Peacock. What has happened to the 12s now, we used to have 35 at Salcombe, nearly a hundred at Burton Week and 30 at Norfolk week. Tvsc and Middle Nene 40 boats. Too expensive? yes. What happens next? Demise of the class or new ideas. Food for thought? Richard Watson
