The final event in the 2013 Gul series (Sat only) and the Inland Championships will be held on 9 and 10 November at Northampton Sailing Club, Pitsford Reservoir.  The NOR is on the homepage of this site and can also be accessed, along with SIs etc on the open meetings section of the NSC website at www.northamptonsailingclub.org
The Gul series prize giving will be held on Saturday evening and will include the prize draw to win a weekend away in at the Watergate Bay Hotel in Cornwall.  You have been automatically entered into the draw every time you compete in a Gul series event this year...make sure you are there to be in with a chance of winning!
The Inlands take place over the whole weekend - 5 races in total, 4 to count.  There will be three races on Saturday, starting at a very sociable 12.35.
If you are looking for a crew, do get in touch - some of the NSC juniors are really keen to sail.

If anyone is planning on camping on the Friday evening of the 75th anniversay weekend, please could you contact Northampton Sailing Club on 01604 880248 or info@northamptonsailingclub.org - you are very welcome to get a good tent space early but need to get a code for the gate and the toilets(!).

Due to the cancellation of the Inlands Championships at Grafham, it has been decided to combine the Northampton Gill series and Inlands to be held on 6 and 7 November 2010.
The event will also incorporate the Midland Area Junior Championships open to helms under the age of 21 on 1 January 2010.
The notice of race will be available from the Northampton SC website as soon as possible.
Just a reminder....the next Gill series event is on Saturday at Ripon.

The sixth event in the 2010 Gill Series is to be held on 18 and 19 September 2010 at Grafham Water Sailing Club and will also be the 2010 Inland Championships.
We are sharing the event with the larks - also their Inlands, with plans in place for a great weekend with six races to be held over the 2 days.  There will be a briefing at 11am on Saturday, with the warning signal for the first race (of three back to back) not to be before 11.55am.  The preparatory signal for the first race on Sunday will not be before 10.25am.
The Notice of Race can be found at http://gwsc.no-ip.org/gwsc_docs/2010/NORs/GWSC%20MASTER%20NOR%202010%20-%20V3%20-%20N12_Lark%20V2.pdf
Further information, including directions, local accommodation etc can be found on the Grafham Water SC website at www.grafham.org
Camping / campervans are very welcome - there is a charge of £5 for tents and £10 for campervans (pre booking of campervans is essential).  Food is available from the club all weekend and a disco is planned for Saturday night.
Any questions, contact Tom or myself - the number is in the book.  Looking forward to a great turnout - we've had some fanstastic Gill series at Grafham in the past three years.

The fifth event in this year's Gill series will take place at Solway Yacht Club on 28 and 29 August.  There is a briefing at SYC at 12.00 hrs with the first start at 13.15.  Entry forms and NOR can be found on the Solway Yacht Club website at:

http://www.thesyc.co.uk/Files/2010%20Prog%20NORs%20etc/NOR%20N12.pdf

Further details on Solway, accommodation, the local area etc can also be found on the next event section of this site.
Margaret and Ian Purkis are holding a barbeque party on the Saturday evening to which N12 sailors are invited - bring a bottle (and some food?).

Ian has said that if anyone is having problems organising accommodation, please call him as he may be able to help sort something out.  Ian's number can be found in the information on our Next Event section of the website.
Ian and Solway YC would really appreciate an indication of who is intending to sail at Solway so could you either let Ian know or leave a post here please.  It should be great - sunshine and wind are both booked for the weekend.:)

The second event in this year's Gill series takes place at Salcombe from 1 - 3 May 2010.  First race starts at 13.50 on Saturday, with 3 further races on Sunday and Monday.
The notice of race, SIs and entry form should all be available on our home page v soon (and from the SYC website).  Entry fee is £18.50, with harbour dues and boat parking waived for the weekend.
Evening meals are available on Saturday evening (Pies) and Sunday evening (Carvery).  Both the harbour master and John Murrell would love to know if you're planning on going, so a post here (or an entry form directly to John) would be fantastic, preferably letting him know how many people would like to eat at the Yacht Club each evening.
If you need to find accommodation, try giving Salcombe Holiday Homes or Coast & Country Cottages a call - don't forget it's still low season in Salcombe.
I'm really looking forward to it, John has promised it's going to be sunny and windy - I've already packed my sun cream and shorts(!).
Any questions, just ask......

The final event of the 2009 Gill Series will take place on Saturday 7 November at Northampton Sailing Club.  There is a briefing at 11.15am, first race at 12 noon and there will be 3 races back to back.  The Gill Series prize giving will take place in the evening, with proceedings run by our very own Michael Brookman and will be followed by food, fireworks and a disco.

Both Saturday and Sunday are the 2009 Inland Championships so make sure that you arrange to stay overnight for the final two races to be held on Sunday - race 4 will start at 10.30am with the 5th and final race to follow.

The winning Junior over the 2 days will be awarded the Midland Area Junior Trophy - awarded to the first placed helm aged 21 and under on 7 November 2009, a fantastic trophy to win - with many well known names having won in years gone by (sadly I am just too old to qualify....)

Camping on site is free - please contact the club if you plan to bring a camper van - breakfast will be available on Sunday morning at the Club.

If you think November is a little late in the year to camp, a double room can be booked at Sedgebrook Hall for £75 including breakfast.
Further detail can be found on the NOR on the home page.  Let us know if you are coming....

There is one month left to practice for the 5th Gill series event of 2009 to be held at Tynemouth Sailing Club on 29 - 30 August.  The notice of race can be found on the Tynemouth SC website at http://tynemouthsc.co.uk/.  Accommodation information can be found there too and it ranges from camping in the blockyard (a very short stagger) to a local tyneside B & B, guest house or hotel.
First start is at 2pm on Saturday with race 2 to follow.  Race 3 will be at 11am on Sunday and the final race to follow.  The intention is to get some great sea sailing outside the harbour with Chris Turner from Ovington Boats lined up to be PRO.
It promises to be a great weekend.  Add a post here if you are planning on going.

The start of the 2009 Gill series is nearly here! The Gill series sailing instructions will soon be posted on the web site. They are similar to the old ones except for a few changes so please take a look.
The most important thing to note is this year displaying of current Gill stickers on the hull is MANDATORY. Gill have given us a large prize fund and a long term committment, in return we need to give them some good publicity.
See you all at Burghfield.
