that is a huge amount of people - should be a fantastic evening!

Who is sailing the next day?
If Joe can find a crew then he is, I am with Alan, Sam and Elsie, Kevin Isles and Adele..... So that is 4 and I can guess at a few others...
How many others of you are planning to sail?

I think there should be lots of people there - none of the waldringfield larks are going to the 24 hour race.  Would be lovely to have some 12's there too although it does obviously clash with another much more important event....
Hope you have a fantastic day Graham and Zoe!

It is going to be sunny!

I know of some spare crews too so let me know if this is the only thing stopping you being there!

Did I mention we are sailing at High Tide???

It is going to be sunny and an easterly breeze so it should be great! it is High tide while we are racing and camping at the club.  On shore there is the football and the BBQ and the band....

Hopefully 12's will be the biggest fleet there!

Who else is going to be there?

Is this weekend! I have 48 people coming so it should be a really good event.  If you still want to come and haven't got back to me (or haven't given me your food choices yet!) then I need to know by Tuesday.
Thanks

Hi Sam,
It is indeed the joys of wooden boats but that wont stop you coming to the dinner on the saturday!!!
I think there is a 12 open at DYC if you organise one basically I'm afraid! Within a decent range though we have, Royal Harwich again on the 9th 10 June, Aldeburgh at the end of that month.  The Easter Egg and Cartoon at Waldringfield, Thorpe Bay??.....?? Notts County? Trent Valley?? Just follow the events link and see what else there is.
Hope to see you at some of them.

Hi Sam, if you are at Deben Yacht Club you are just one river away from Royal Harwich! why not come to our dinner on the 18th and the midwinter champs the next day.  Should be another couple of A/C boats out and it will be fun.  Details on the Mid Winter link somewhere in the last couple of posts.
Obviously everyone is invited to the dinner and so far 36 have said yes which is brilliant and about 10 confirmed for sailing!
Thanks guys

Hi there, have over 30 confirmed now for dinner but still waiting to hear from a few others.

This is always a really good sailing event as we sail to the tide and all the yachts are on the shore! Brilliant! 9 boats have already said they will join us.  So why not get the boat out, have a bit of winter practice ready for the new season and come and have a good social the night before???

it will be great
