Just to prove the old ones go fast too - of course, I mean the boats!

Here's a shot of Howard Chadwick and crew blasting across Derwent Reservoir in Sept 2007 to win the vintage Open meeting.  He was the only one to survive!

Triarda has continued to perform well sneaking victory in the vintage series again in 08, 09 and 2010 and first in the Burton Cup race in 2009 but beaten to the Shotgun Trophy by Tim Gatti in 2009 and Brian Kitching in 2010.  Updated with a carbon boom (half a Radical Edward mast) and one of the last suits of Alverbank sails she continues to give excellent service and chase the elusive Shotgun Trophy.

Bit of synchronisity here as Triada was once owned by the late Howard Elcock. I first knew Howard when he sailed at at Naburn and he sailed Triad.  He was then a lecturer at Hull University prior to selling Triada and I and later moving up to Newcastle and sailing at Tynemouth. Small world eh?

After a 2020 in dry storage due to the pandemic, I have finally been sailing Triarda on a weekly basis at Tynemouth since the early spring. Some pics courtesy of C. Edgar of TSC.

Offered for sale by Francesco on social media November 2022. Advert reads as follows :

After sailing Triarda for 2 years, I have now purchased a singlehanded so I am looking to pass her to a new owner.
The combi road trailer has been serviced at Trident UK in Sep 2022 and trailer had NEW suspensions, hubs and wheels, <30 miles since and receipt available; trailer complete with mast support and tie down bar and rope.
Great boat to get into vintage sailing, ready to tow away and sail and tour up and down the country , which unfortunately I do not have the time for. Also new in 2022: 2x buoyancy bags, mainsheet, main and jib halyards and mast ram rope.
She comes ready complete to sail, with a set of Alverbank sails with sail bags, carbon sheated c/board, mast ram and dangly pole, adjustable shrouds, aluminum mast and carbon boom. Breathable made to measure over-boom cover new in 2020 by LulhamRobinson with boom support and good undercover.
Measurement certificate.

Spares: smaller rudder blade, another broken but fixable rudder blade, a non matching no. older mainsail off another N12, and an older spare wheel for the trailer .
Currently garaged at home in Newcastle upon Tyne.
