Title: Castle Semple 17th & 18th July
Post by: angus on 25 Jun 2010, 10:26
Just a reminder the next Scottish event is at Castle Semple 17th 18th July. I am sure duncan would appreciate it if you let him know if you are going. I am not sure at this stage if I can make it or not.

Looking forward to seeing as many as possible at the Scottish Series Open Meeting at Castle Semple SC on 17th & 18th July.  This is a new venue for N12s, usually we hold GP14 meetings, so it would be nice to get a crowd.  The first race will be at 1pm Sat.

The entry fee will include Sat even meal (hopefully BBQ), Sun breakie & lunch, food will also be available on Sat lunch & the "Cake Fairy" has indicated that she will be present.  ( This is why most sail GPs, too many cakes  ;D )

Directions to the club at  http://www.castlesemplesc.co.uk (http://www.castlesemplesc.co.uk) .  There is a large car park for motor homes.  If you are wanting to camp, please contact me so I know how much space we need, phone number in the events diary.

To help with catering, could you put a reply here.
Many thanks   Duncan Elder

We will be coming, and my sister Liz will be joining us too so that's 4 in Team RolyMo for this one.  We will be staying in the motorhome, keep us a corner of the car park!  Arriving Friday early evening I guess.  Not sure which ship is coming with us - if it's looking light B and E might sail Roly.

We have a few (careful !) members who would be interested in racing a 12, if anyone is able to bring a spare one & willing to lend it.  To date they have sailed either a Tiger or D8.  Could anyone let me know & I could put the members in touch directly, if wished.

Traffic update for those coming from the south, petrol 113p/l & diesel 115p/l at Shell station on M6 north of Carlisle.
A76 closed at Mauchline with large detour so suggest not using A76.  Duncan

WOW what a fantastic weekend.  Superbly hospitable club, lovely sailing water and great wind (if a little too much at times).  If you weren't there you missed a real treat, if you were there you know just what a fun weekend it was.
Two very tired rear passengers on the way home, but both so proud of their medals - thank you!  Liz is determined to come back with us next year and Ellie can't wait to see you all again and is asking if we will be 'popping by' at some point.
Thanks so much for making us so very welcome,
Mrs RM

I can only echo your comments (Rohan fell a sleep on the way home) Definately the friendliest club I have ever sailed at and that is saying something after sailing at Annandale, Yeadon and Forfar. Definately not one to miss.:):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):)
