Title: Drysuit Recycling ideas
Post by: Bob1 on 25 Sep 2010, 09:56
I've had to bite the bullet and buy a new drysuit this weekend as my repairs gave up.  There are only a few small holes in my old drysuit but enough that it will not work as desired.  It seems such a waste to just throw it in the dustbin - does anyone have any ideas of how it, or bits of it, can be re-used? All sensible and not so sensible ideas accepted - please post here.....

It is ideal as a complete Guy Fawkes and your timing is spot on.  Stuff it with newspaper and after pushing it around the town centre in a buggy begging 'Penny for the Guy' you can chuck it on the bonfire.

I have absolutely no idea what happens when you burn all that rubber and coated fabric but it would be interesting to hear how much money you raise pushing it around town.

I'm sure it could be fashioned into a sailing bag.

if the holes are in the bottom half make it into a top, if the holes are in the top half make it into trousers

I prefer the club mascot, a teddy bear hung from the boom   8) , smaller than stuffed man.
