Title: Scottish Champs at Solway
Post by: Chris Day on 31 Aug 2015, 09:43
The 2015 Scottish Champs will take place on the beautiful waters of Solway YC over the weekend of 12th / 13th September. The weekend is also event 6 of the Gul series and counts towards the Lairwell Trophy and vintage series.

There will be 5 races over the weekend including the famous Palnackie race but make sure you get up early or on Friday night as the first start is at 10am. The NoR will be up on the website soon.

The Saturday evening social is very generously being hosted by Margaret and Ian Purkis...I look forward to seeing you there. Please post if you are coming.

Is the 10:00 Saturday start due to tide time?  it is a bit grim for travellers.

Yes unfortunately Kippford is tidal and it is a case of either and early start on Saturday or a late finish on Sunday. The best bet is to come on Friday night.
