Many of the N12 fleet will be sad to learn that Sylvia Chegwyn passed away last week. Sylvia with her husband Brian and daughter Jools was steward at Salcombe Yacht Club for 30 years. Sylvia always had a soft spot for 12 and Merlin sailors welcoming many of us from the age when we had to peep over the bar to buy a pepsi and went on to do the same for our children too. So raise a glass of sparkling wine with strawberries and remember her fondly.
