N.886 "Flare" appears in the Trent Valley Fixture Card and Boat List in 1952, as owned by P.E.J. "Joe" Hunt. Joe probably bought this boat new, from Wyche & Coppock. By 1957 this boat had moved on.
She was seen by me in 1963, rather a long way away, at the annual Regatta held by Beer Sailing Club in E.Devon. I believe that the then owner of the boat lived in Taunton. After that she disappeared from view.

My earlier efforts seemed not to register.  Here goes again:
We bought Flare from the owner who kept her at Burton Sailing Club in 1959/60. Shortly afterwards we moved to Ilminster, Somerset. My Father Peter Bussell and I sailed Flare from the Axe Yacht Club in the early '60s and after moving from the area used to come down in the summer for Beer Regatta. Happy Days!
