The life of N3253 Mr Blue Sky. Design: Baggy Trousers, designed by: Robert Peebles in 1980
Original boat name: Seawitch.
Boat was built in 1984 for Dr. Robin Steavenson. Boat was acquired by Kenneth Wilson in July 2002 from Howard Steavenson, and moved to Annandale SC. Boat was then Sold in September 2005 to Philip Cosson who moved the boat to Scaling Dam SC, and renamed her Mr Blue Sky.
Boat is identical to the 3216-3220 series of GRP hulled Baggy Trousers with an aluminium spaceframe. Boat was fitted out by Dr. Steavenson with a Boyce mast and Storrar and Bax sails. Mast was later replaced with a Proctor C.
Also of note is the rear tank of the boat, which has been extended forward at about 2/3rds of full width for more buoyancy.
Original barber haulers have been updated to a dangly pole.

In 2005 3253 had a lot of simplification. gone are the mast prebend etc. Mr Blue Sky is currently undergoing a minor 'refit' and will have one colour thwart, CB case and internal hull for the start of the season. Hopefully this will help us find the right bit of string to pull!
