Title: Chat Room
Post by: Geoff & Amelia on 12 Mar 2005, 10:48
Having logged on to the discussion group this morning, we notiiced two friends of ours on-line also. Being a wannabe techie it would be cool to have a live chat room to chat and see how they are doing.

What do we think of this as an idea? Can someone suggest how this can be done.

Thanks,

Geoff and Amelia

you could try any of these methods:
1.Can we get private messaging turned on? If so you should be able to use that to send messages
2.Get msn messenger (or equivalent) and use this to communicate anytime you want
3.Try using a very very long piece of string and two cups (cheep)
(4.I've got a chat applet lying around somewhere here that could be bolted on to the forum)

Hope this is some help

Andrew

If we wanted a real chat room we could use Skype I think that might work with the small amount of members on line at any one time. It's a lot better than typing out your messages.
