Title: Desborough Open Meeting
Post by: Mike Storey on 16 May 2005, 02:18
Calling all those into messing about on the river...

Desborough SC Open Meeting is this Sunday 22nd May. First race 11am.

Twelves of all shapes and sizes are most welcome and if the weather is anything like last Sunday (light and flukey), an older boat is DEFINITELY no disadvantage. Looks like we could get 9 "home" boats out and with several visitors already confirmed and the potential launch of a brand new 12 (Mike D is it ready? Is it legal?) its going to be a busy time on the river.

DSC is conveniently located just off the M25 on the north bank of the Thames at Shepperton. Directions to the club at http://www.desboroughsc.org

There will be cake.

Had really hoped to be there for launch and champagne but questions of legality (temporary, I hope) may require modifications which could prevent this.  Will be v. sorry if this is the case, should be clarified one way or the other by the end of the week.
