Title: Avon SW Event Saturday 8th
Post by: THG on 05 Apr 2006, 10:37
Anyone else planning on going river sailing?  Conditions look more suitable than BCYC!

Avon is a lovely place to sail and a very welocoming club - would be highly recommended in my book. Unfortunately a broken boat might prevent me getting there.

Enjoy!

I LOVE Avon - great bit of river sailing and lovely club/people. Hope lots of you support this meeting. The tragic news is that I may not be able to attend and make it first vintage three years running! The boat is OK, is just that the helm isn't, (which is why Crazy Diamond missed the GILL meeting last weekend). Hope to see y'all at TVSC first weekend in May.

Avon is a lovely location - there were 4 of us who enjoyed the river, interesting wind and some great hospitality.

Race one then free cup of tea & biscuits.
Race 2 then a good lunch.
Race 3 followed by free tea & homemade cake (lovely).

We even managed to finish all the races despite a few more swims (again).
