Title: 12s at the National Maritime Museum
Post by: grazz on 19 Dec 2006, 06:55
Hi All, I've been in contact with the National Maritime Museum at Falmouth again, it sounds like they are pulling together a great display for the new year which will include a number of 12s (it will be well worth a visit if you are in the Cornwall area between Jan and April)

They are still looking for a modern 12 to contrast the vintage boats they already have. Nathan Harding is kindly loaning his Big Issue for a couple of months (Jan / Feb). But there is a gap for March / April.

Would you be willing to lend your boat or do you know of anyone who might be?

The Museum will cover transportation costs, can collect / return

Please let me know

Happy sailing

Graham

Graham's message suggests that this display of Twelves will be well worth visiting.
Talking of which I am seeking help in getting an old rudder and tiller for N.4 "Ruff" to the Falmouth
Marine School. If anybody is going to Cornwall, particularly from the Midlands, in the next few months and could carry this, please can they get in touch.
