Just a reminder that it is Grafham on Saturday 3 October - that's less than a week away.  Briefing at 10.30am, first race not before 11.25am - 3 races.   Notice of race is on the homepage and the GWSC website.  Are you going???:)

Alpha Male will be there & hoping the Alpha Female will appear too. Also bringing Brownie's crew with me - must be a good event if that boat is getting its bottom wet!

Hope you get more wind this year, don't think I will risk it.

No worries there Angus, the nice people at Grafham had found the wind we failed to use last year and kept it for us.

In the big conditions it looked like it was going to be a straight battle between the Ibbos and the rarely seen refugee from the big accountancy consultancy, ably assisted by Miss Iles.  However neither managed to finish the second race and so when the third race was canned the Sallis boat cleaned up.

The beach looked like the garage area at a grand prix after a wet race.  My prediction is that anyone who failed to close out a short position in a major marine supplier last week is going to be feeling pretty silly come Monday morning.

I saw this from the shore - now I know whose mast hit the water first!
