Title: Another excuse to sail at Salcombe!
Post by: JohnMurrell on 21 Apr 2011, 06:00
2011 Salcombe Festival 10th â€" 12th June

New for this year will be a vintage dinghy regatta.
Starting on Friday this will be a 6 race regatta under the SYC and British Classic Yacht Club burgees.

Any dinghy built before 1970 is invited to race â€" and with the Twelve’s that cut off is 2517 and older according to my handbook. So far there are 4 boats saying they will appear and a certain Mr Howlett has indicated that he will be racing a Merlin (not a Merlin Rocket!!), so come on all you with ‘golden oldies’ ‘tis time to have a third (fourth?) bite at the Salcombe experience this year. It should be fun and the tides are high neaps midday...........................

If anyone wants more information give me a call, I appreciate it clashes with the Gill at Annadale and Spinnaker but the timing isn’t anything to do with SYC, honest!
