I am currently restoring a 1963 Sparklet(2122)
And I am a bit confused as to how the mast is tightened.
There seems to be an over complicated pulley system unfortunately the cable has perished.
can anybody help me with either a picture of a working system or some sort of diagram or pictures of a working one

Hi perhaps you could post or email me some pictures so that we can try to help, the original Sparklet would have only had bottle screws or possibly rigging links on forestay and shrouds I suspect so mention of pulleys suggests some later modifications. The only pulley originally related to the mast would possibly have been a drum type kicking strap. Howard C
