Post by: Munkey on 11 Feb 2015, 10:22
Does anybody know what the 4" hole in the foredeck next to the mast is for?
Its really bugging me not knowing.
Cheers

Probably used for a compass once upon a time.

Something like this:
http://www.pinbax.com/index.asp?selection=detailed&uid=34861&cg=8&mc=104&cct=&sc=456 (http://www.pinbax.com/index.asp?selection=detailed&uid=34861&cg=8&mc=104&cct=&sc=456)
I never understood how they were easy to use/read but they were at least part of the all in weight of the boat whereas some of us had them on the mast for a while (before it was weighed).
