Title: Seahorse magazine sailor of the month
Post by: smilie on 07 Feb 2015, 12:44
I was the other lunch time I was looking at the Saehorse website to see what the latest issue of Seahorse magazine held and noticed Dave Hollom (the creator of Hijack for haven’t got their hands on a copy of the
Newsletter) has been nominated for Seahorse Sailor of the month award. http://www.seahorsemagazine.com/sailor-of-the-month/vote-for-sailor-of-the-month (http://www.seahorsemagazine.com/sailor-of-the-month/vote-for-sailor-of-the-month) For his Int 14 Departure deign cleaning up at the Worlds in Oz.

I’m thinking it might be good to show some 12-ey support for this relitivly un-sung British navel architected.

Did anyone see Dave's article in Seahorse explaining his design thought processes and how they related to Hijack?
It was the July issue from memory

Best support the 12's could give would be to build more Hijacks!

I have been meaning to get hold of copy of the issue it is in having missed it first time round after discovering the Smith’s on Euston stocks Seahorse :o) It’s a bit of shame that you don’t seem to be able to get hold downloads of just the articles from back issues.

Having read the intro to the article http://www.seahorsemagazine.com/current-issue/13-content/july-2014/207-departure (http://www.seahorsemagazine.com/current-issue/13-content/july-2014/207-departure) it looks to be mostly about how the lift from the rudder influenced him during the design process. Still will be very interesting stuff and will be mostly relate to 12 design.

Just in case anyone is wondering Dave Hollom won Seahorse Sailor of the month. Someone should probably order a Hijack to celebrate, there might be a bit of wait though I get the feeling Composit Craft might be building 14's at the mo;)
