Moonchild was my second N12, constructed in early 1973. The intention was to exploit the  limits of the then double curvature rule to the maximum to produce a round bottom boat.
The section of the hull below the chine was formed with 4mm ply in conical sections to the bow and stern and was darted in the midsections to form four planks. This was then overlaid with 3mm ply.
She was quite fast inland and had some success on the open meeting circuit. In 1976 she was sold to a member a Yeadon SC and later sold on to Rhyll in North Wales where there was a N12 fleet at the time. Fate after that unknown.
