Built 2001. Ply hull, signal red Epiphanes, varnished interior, down to weight without correctors. Open transom. Originally Proctor Aluminium mast, now Superspar and carbon boom (Mike Cooke, Aardvark Technologies). Carbon lifting rudder (Aardvark). Kevlar main, dacron jib (Alverbanks). Dyneema and Harken kitted throughout. Thwart seats added ca. 2005(?). Very responsive, points very high and will turn on a sixpence. Performance similar to a Chapter, upon which design it was based, does well in light to medium airs and in a continuous blow. In short, very nice to sail. 3 owners to date: Dare Barry; Simon Walworth; Jim Bretherick. Currently at Spinnaker but moving to Ammersee, Bavaria in April 2007.

Yeah, can't wait to pick her up over Easter. Tuneup at Spinnakers, then down to Salcombe for a couple of days. Then over to Bavaria.

After saying goodbye to Hot Fuzz after the last race at Northampton have just taken delivery of PP. Beautiful boat!
Many many thanks Jim for bringing her all the way from Bavaria.
Unfortunately there is no water during daylight in the river for a few weeks, so will have to be patient......

Here is a picture of us sailing 3470 at Up River YC on Sunday sporting her new paint job and new mainsail. Thought I would give people chance to get used to it before Burghfield.
My wife thinks I am obsessed with painting boats, but my excuse is I like a smooth bottom!

Did you run out of paint half way through?

Very astute Angus, she was going to be all orange. when I started the second coat I realised it was not going to cover the grey primer. Being Christmas week, I couldn't get another tin of Alert orange so that old tin of Fuzzy Duck Yellow came in useful! I call it artistic.....

For the record the trim on the sails was Matt's idea....

Having had great intentions to sail Fat Boy with my daughter, the boat has spent most of the past 2 years gathering dust in dry storage. It's a great little boat and needs to be sailed, so i have put it up for sale on the boatlist. It is a well kitted out boat in good shape - an absolute bargain for someone.
