This was my first N12, bought from Kevan Bloor's father Frank in the early 1960s. Her foredeck had been removed after a major accident with a mast and so she was totally open with a stepped mast support.
Re-painted a bright orange she was re-named "Peanut" and for a short time had a (subtle) pink mast. I sailed her for several seasons at Trent Valley and then sold her to a school friend in whose garden I believe she still remains to this day.:'(

It is with deep and profound regret that I have to advise the demise of N1893 "Peanut/Griffin".
 
Her sad weatherbeaten remains were cremated on a garden bonfire several years ago.....
