N2430 'Complication' was the second and last boat built to the 'Complex' design. She was built by Wyche and Coppock and home finished by  Denis Mossman from Waldringfield, who sailed her to 5th in the 1968 Burton Cup and  5th overall in  Burton Week the same year.
I still own 'Complication' and she's available to visitors to Yorkshire Ouse - Graham Camm won the YOSC Vintage Trophy in her in 2005!
An unusual feature of the design is the 3 inch deep skeg under the bow, running from the stem to under the mast, which was intended to help the hull grip to windward, but needs care to tack smoothly.
Despite the 1967 and 1968 success of this design, and the even more succesful 'Mr Jones' design  of the same period, no others were built as the design shift led by Phil Morrison's  'China Doll' arrived at the same time and that became the dominant design of the period following.
See N2405 for notes on the original design. Also page 65 of the 2001 Newsletter has some more notes and pics of the design.
