I still own 3177 Roadrunner, which I designed and built in 1981/2. She is in excellent condition, having been stored indoors, when not afloat, for the past 32 years. My wife and I were beginners to dinghy racing when I designed and built Roadrunner, but we survived several Burton Weeks in the 1980s. I've put a photo in the gallery of us on a steep learning curve at the Exmouth Burton Week, late 80s. Our son has told me that the one item he must inherit from us is Roadrunner, in which he and I raced many times.

The hull is cold moulded from two layers of 3mm Gaboon veneer, formed over a softwood plug I constructed.
