I bought this boat new from W&C and won a few "pots" in the next few years including Avon in 1974; sold to Tim Wilmshurst at TVSC when I bought N2808 "Wild Oats". Last time I spoke with Tim back in 2002 the boat was still in his garage! I did try to persuade him to sell back to me, but without success - so I bought N2487 Dolly Daydream instead. The name Ethelred initially came from the fact that I was always last on the water for every race, but this was rapidly revised to "Unsteady" refering to my amazing ability to capsize at anytime, anywhere, anyhow!
