Title: pudding boats
Post by: darebarry on 29 Dec 2006, 08:42
The latest Pudding boat is at last taking shape with wood and glue. If anybody is interested and they land on the IOW you are welcome to call in. Also 3498 Paradise Pudding is still looking for a good home. :)

Naive newbie question -- but what's a "pudding boat"?  Not a design I've seen on the list.

(I did say it was a naive question!)

Hiya, Dare is one of our most prolific builders and calls all his boats 'pudding'. If you get hold of a copy of the October 'Ratchet' you will find a story I did on him.
As well as a man of considerable talent when it comes to building National 12's, Dare is also one of the most consistent performers at Burton Week, always near the top of the fleet. He is always ready to help or put in an encouraging word to us relative newcomers.
I have owned (but just sold) Passion Pudding for the past three seasons, an awsome boat that has taught me an awful lot. Still not sure if I have done the right thing, but Jim Bretherwick is smiling having just bought an absolutely beautiful boat.
