Title: Brixham -  Do not forget!!!
Post by: Antony on 26 Jul 2007, 09:29
If you are heading off for the fun, games and sailing next week you need to bring:

1.  Your certificate.
2.  Any trophies that you won last year.
3.  Two costumes for Thursday night, see details under socials.  There will be top prizes, mostly for effort rather than style.

There are obviously lots of other things to bring, including sailing kit.......

See you there,
Antony

Yes, there is the usual opportunity to weigh in on arrival.  This means that you do not have to be weighed again mid-week should you be identified for measurement.

Sorry, we have probably been a bit tardy in advice for 1st timers.

The plan is, as usual for those that have been recently, for there to be a slot booking system that you can join on arrival or when ready.  To remove lead, if you want to, requires sweet talking a qualified measurer into making the necessary reweigh official and signing your certificate.  This is usually possible if you are patient and offer alcohol.

Obviously all of the above relies on a few variables, including the arrival of the scales and the availability of people able to oversee the weighing.  Jon Brown will be in charge.

Incidentally, on my attempts to check that the roads to Devon were open i got a lot of warnings about the M4 west of Chippenham.  Might be wise for people to check routes as there seems to be some surface water out west.

Is there anything else we should know?

Is there any sort of dress code for the dinner?

Rick
There is no dress code for the dinner - smart casual seems to work though you can go for black tie if you wish.

Good luck.

Wish I could be there - hope you all have a great week.

Cheers
