N.1089 "Dark Horse" appeared in public in the autumn of 2005. She was owned by a Mr O.J.P. Hutchinson of 57 Princes Road, Petersfield, Hampshire. After some restoration work that year, the boat was photographed sailing somewhere on the South Coast and we elected her runner-up for the Ribbed Boat Trophy of that year. After that outing the boat was not seen again and follow-up correspondence to Mr Hutchinson was not returned.

The Apollo Duck advert details and pictures are as below. She is being sold by Oliver Hutchinson the owner Ken notes above.
Dark Horse’ is a vintage National 12 two-handed dinghy, in good sea-going order. A 2005 refit included new sections and planks, keel repairs and re-fastening, conducted by the Dolphin Quay boatyard, then in Emsworth. A full 6-coat hull varnish was followed by internal refurbishment to a high standard. Apart from flotation bags, self bailers, modern lines, mast and sails, she is original. Sails are by Dick Batt of Bosham, used twice. Collars spruce mast dry stored and sound. Stainless steel standing rigging. According to the NTOA she dates from 1952 - I think she's a Dick Wyche Gnome design, or Procter MkII. She has been extensively sailed off the Pembrokeshire Coast, Norfolk Broads, Lake Windermere and Chichester Harbour.
Inventory includes paddles, bailers, anchor and cable, spare rudder.
