Title: New Owner
Post by: inchgarvie on 17 Aug 2007, 06:48
I have just purchased N2262 (Wytchway) and am having a bit of difficulty working out how the main sheet should be rigged. The boat has a pole fixed across the midship section of the hull with a traveller attached, it appears a pulley should attach to the traveller and it seems to be missing. Also, there does not appear to be anywhere to fix the ropes that position the traveller.
I was wondering if anyone can assist with details of a good text book that I could purchase or indeed have a document that could be emailed that shows how the sheets should be rigged?

Hi and welcome to the fleet.

I have emailed some information and am happy to help you sort this and any other issues out just give me a call on the number on the email, I look forward to talking to you and seeing your boat on the water in due course.
Regards Howard C N2, N2266 and N3356

Or you could remove the whole c/main contraption and rig it conventionally with a split end transom main sheet, which is much easier, lighter and better suited to Twelves.  Your crew will thank you for it, too.
