The life of N2383 Sparkle. Design: Starfish, designed by: Mike Nokes in 1961
'Sparkle' was the last Starfish ever built and was registered in 1967.
There were 73 Starfish altogether - all but one of which were built by Wyche and Coppock in Nottingham.
Until recently she was owned by Andrew Dawson but has recently made the long journey to West Yorkshire.
She is still very much in original condition although she has had some minor mods to enable the previous owner to row her and fit a small outboard for 'creek cruising'.
After some 'fettling' she will be joining the highly competitive Northern Vintage fleet - hopefully in 2011.

I now have the honour of looking after Sparkle.
Looking forward to getting to know here with my daughter Kathryn - who has also assumed half ownership!
Have not figured out how to add a picture yet though.

Sparkle - 2015.
I'm pleased to say that I'm the new owner of Sparkle and collected her today from Steve.Nothing serious needs doing other the normal wear and tear of wooden boats.
In a week or so I'll get her down to my club, Hurst Castle Sailing Club at Keyhaven near Lymington , where the Commodore, Paul Moxey, has two N12s including March Hare.
