I know that we have yet to publish a notice of race etc but it would be good to start a list of intended entrants so that we can plan well. This will get transferred to the Burton Week Website when it is launched. Evidently you will have to fill in the appropriate form and the appropriate cheque later on in order to guarantee your entry.
So....
N3515, John & Katy Meadowcroft...
who else?
We will be there in the new yacht representing the heavy weight division!
Simon & Matt
Count us in!

Team RolyMo will be there
RM
Probably team THG will be there too.
We have accomodation booked and babysitters sorted, so definitely plan to be there.

hope to get there with 3255, work and crew dependant!!
Simon & Rosie Walworth N3454 Jammy Dodger
Jo and I are planning to go. Looks like it's half term here in Lincolnshire so holiday shouldn't be a problem.
Steve
N3436
Greg and Jo are planning on going, can't wait!
N3473
Yes I will have to give this one a go as its nearly on my doorstep. I will sail either something old or very old. Will check forcast nearer the time!
Sadly school holidays in Scotland are not the same as Englandand strangely only the banks are on holiday on bank holidays in scotland. So it is unlikely Agent Orange will put in an apearance.:'( Never mind there is always next year
Working hard on this one and currently 90%++ on to sail.
If we get a few vintage boats I will bring Triada (2266) but if not it looks like Squidgy Bits (3356). I will however be encouraging as many of our vintage fleet as possible so here's hoping for a good vintage fleet on the lumpy stuff. Come on chaps get your names on the list and lets make it a cracker of an event. Howard C aka Chadders
Mr.Jones will be coming. With Richard and Emily.:)
Booked accomodation so just waiting for the entry form.......
N2399
We plan to be there with Grimley subject to the usual family arm twisting :)
Tom and Natalie are planning to take a break from big boat sailing to get Chill Out afloat for this outing
Greetings All! I have already booked the hotel, and entered/paid my money to Janet/Kevan! N2487 Dolly Daydream, Christine Marshall and I will be there - and Kevan has promised me new set of sails! Px :K)
HI
Alpha Male will be there - apparently Kevin lives pretty close and some people believe that I am from Essex so should be like going home.
Jane
3512
Vicky and I will be there in our new to us 12, and looking forward to warmer weather!
Andy N3481
Phil and Dawn Brown N3398 are planning to be there now we've done our capsize practice for 2009 (Simon has the photos)
Pip, Terry and 3517 Carbon Paw Print will also be enjoying the Thorpe Bay sunshine, force 4 please!
OK...now I am officially excited. Entry form is in the post for another 2 BW debutants (if crewing many years ago is discounted).
BTW great website for the event.
I have set up a Facebook group under "National 12 Burton Week 2009". Please join and build the excitement.

We will get the entry form and notice of race up there pretty soon.
Well done to Jeremy Carey for the website.
The other latest news is that the local Council have just given us official permission to camp on the land next to the club.
If you want to see what a Burton Week at Southend is like, look at the Pathe Pictorial (now on line) in the time frame Mid Aug to mid Sept 1954.
Johnk,
I'll definately take a look in time. I felt real delight at spotting an unexpected few frames of N159 "Welbor" appearing in a British Transport Films real. (Details on the boat-database).
Ciao!
I think soggy moggy may be ready for this event........
Just to reiterate what Terry said - I'll be there - but just a suggestion to those who have yet to see Carbon Pawprint (those who have will understand) - sunglasses will be necessary whatever the weather.
Time to turn this thread from intention to sail to yes I have entered. I have entered a half built Pudding, have any other Pudding boats entered? 22 Days left for early entries to be encluded in the P & B Jib draw.
Cheers dare
Good plan I have entered too with my Starfish! Howard C
I for one would find a "runners and riders" list on the BW website or linked from the homepage to be useful and interesting and it might even stimulate others to get their cheque books out.

N3491
I agree with Mike, having just filled in the entry form to send off I would be really interested to see if the promises become reality. I like the way Salcombe showed the entries last year.
So yes Dare there will be another Pudding on Thorpe Bay seafront in May.
Simon
3470
Posted entry today White heat will be there.
Looking to Camp, do we have to book our pitch, or just turn up?
martin
3458
Martin - you just need to turn up.
Kevin
Miffy will be there. Hoping the sky is not too clear otherwise Clare will be watching planes rather than reminding me how to steer a 12.
Andy Mck
Runners and riders will happen soon.
and yes i have entered.
Our entry went in at the last N12 committee meeting - Tim & Seb (N2255 - probably!)
Mike Douglas will be back in the UK taking a break from sunning himself aboard a MY so, he and myself will be there (with bells on) in Loki 3493.
Entry will be sent off as soon as my printer decides to work!
Adele Cameron
The Burton week website is now updated with those who have entered for burton Week already and also with a list of those who have expressed their intentioin to enter. If you are in the latter group please get your entry in this week so that you get the chance to win a new Jib from P&B. Any other people not listed enter ASAP as it will help imensely with the planning of the event

Jeremy
Lovely to see such a great long list - I can think of a few that are missing including some I believe have paid!
Just a minor point - are all of these boats attending with just the helms? Would be great to see the crews listed as well.
Jane
CREW of 3512
Entry sent, excited and in training.
Jane,
very fair points, but page space is limited and I also do not have all the detail of crews etc. If I can get the info I could do a PDF download on the same page including crews and boat names etc. Would be nice to also have boat designs on it too but that might get a bit complicated to work out!
I realise that some names may be missing who have entered but the list will always be a bit out of date as the entries don't come stright to me, but as you rightly say, the list is looking healthy! If you have any further knowledge of entries then feel free to let me know.
jeremy@designs42.net
Jemery,
I do a similar thing with entries for Opens and Regatta's here at Salcombe using Sailwave. Its dead simple and I am sure could be adapted for our site -I have linked to this years Merlin week to give you an idea of what it can look like.
