Hello all,
To help with planning the event - especially the Saturday evening dinner, we would be pleased to have indications of numbers, bookings etc sooner rather than later.
We have prayed to the gods of N12 Open meetings for perfect conditions but are still waiting for their email response.
To help with the evening event, we can be flexible about the fancy dress, we know some are a bit theatrically challenged and would prefer to come incognito - not in fancy dress 8)
Really looking forward to greeting, meeting everyone for the weekend. Please do let Christine (Preston - yes she changed her name to confuse the life out of everyone) know by phone 07914786391 or mail christinepreston@talktalk.net
Please watch this space for updates of details. Booking can be informal to the above contact details until the entry form is posted on the website.
many thanks
CRU 12
;D
Greetings! The entries are already coming in for the TVSC Open. Chadders N2266 and Gainsboro N2468 have both promised to be there on the Sunday, and Angus the Noo will again be borrowing Mr Jones N2399 for both days. I hear that Mr Sears will be there with his 4 planker for both days and Chris Day will be parking his Foolish at the farm over night to be fresh and ready to sail on the Sunday (subject to hangover from a weding reception on the Saturday?). Cpt Carbon is trecking up from FOS to sail Shotgun N2359 and Ms Preston (crew formerly know as Christine Marshall aka CRU12) & I will be yotting in Dolly Daydream N2487. And I seem to recall that Gattiman was contemplating bringing his newly acquired Starfish N2335 "Saskia" too. So that's lots of vintage yots - what about you fast boys 'n girls? Px :K)
Paul, I thought that we are the fast guys?
8)Mr Jones safely lodging at our house which seems to become the official staging post between Angus land and anywhere South of Ferrybridge and Sarah has almost forgiven Angus even though she cant put any washing out from now until after your TVSC event. Looking forward to renewing our battle. Cheers Howard.
Will be there with my pudding for both days. Looking forward to it.
further details as promised:
see attachments - one of which is a bit of history. Please note meal options for the weekend will include a meat and veggie choice - let me or Paul know.
Also, if anyone has jpg copies (or similar) of previous winners and their bateau, would you please mail them on to me for display.
regards,
CP
oops an attachment didn't attach so :

I am getting a tad confused - it's easily done at my age and trying to do night shifts too!
But could everyone pls let me know dinner bookings etc by email - christinepreston@talktalk.net or mobile 07914786391
ie. Sat eve meals, races etc
Even if you think you have already let me know, a quick email would be great - better I'm told twice than you go hungry on Saturday evening! Otherwise you'll end up with a chip cob and a pint of beer :) :) !!!! or even worse a cob and a pint of beer ??)
Also anyone hoping for a boat from the Breaston N12 museum - pls double check - they may be overbooked - again synapses not working too well when hindered by age etc etc etc
Really really looking forward to seeing you all at the weekend, still plenty of camping space in the grounds or cabin bunks for the luxuriously inclined; simple breakfasts will be available on Sunday morning (paye), pls see earlier postings on this forum for race details and catering details. again - mails pls to confirm & I'd rather know several times over than not at all.
I'm here on above contact details... pls let me know your preferred requirements. - and bring your cameras - there may be some interesting photo opportunities that Kevan may miss.......
still no word regarding weather/winds/sun etc ---- this is UK what else do you expect?????
muchos gracias
