A rather sparse fleet of five National Twelves enjoyed hot sunshine and generally light breezes at South Windermere's summer open meeting. Jon and Jim Whitehead adapted quickly to the patchy Windermere conditions, winning the first and third races in their Feeling Foolish. Second place was tied on points between Bernard Clark and James Shipley in their Final Chapter (N3382) and Dave and Jennie Davies' Pipedream, the latter clinching it having won the second race.
