Nottingham Open Meeting kicked of on staurday the 6th of May with bright
sunshine and a good force 3 (which stayed surprisingly constant for
nottingham.........)

The First race got underway at midday with Graham Camm and Zoe Ballantyne
crewing getting a flyer of a start, then zipping off into the distance never
to be caught, leaving Mike Cooke and Angela Cooke to take second with John
Sears and Lydia Wood third.

After a stop for pasta (replace all that used up energy) and some cake the
second race got started. Graham Camm getting away first but was soon over
taken by Mike Cooke and Phill David with John Whitehead following. This
order stayed the same until an unfortunate capsize by Phil let John
Whitehead and John Sears through with Graham Camm coming into Fourth.
After stopping for some Tea and a bit more cake, race three commenced. This
time it was John Sears getting away into first with Graham following and
Phil taking thirdhalfway through the second lap Mike Cooke had pulled
through to second and then set about hauling John Sears in. At the end of the
third and final beat Mike had caught up, and in a bit of confusion at the
mark Mike took the lead and pulled away on the run to take the race and the
Trophy, with Phil David impressively coming into second and Graham third.
