Yeadon Sailing Club is situatcd at the end of the runway for Leeds / Bradford Airport. Which is great for watching Concorde on its weekend specials as you sail. An old mill pond near the centre of Yeadon, it provides excellent opportunities for improving your boat-handling skills.

Racing is held on Saturday and Sunday afternoons and Wednesday evenings during the Summer. On Tuesday evenings the club runs a sail training course. Yeadon is a friendly welcoming club, ideal for families, as non-sailing spectators are never too far away from the action.

The National 12's are a small but enthusiastic group of sailors. The designs sailed range from Cheshire Cats, Crusaders, Pipe dream, Starfishes, Tiger and a Squib. The restricted inland water allows the older designs to remain highly competitive.

We have good social events throughout the year with barbeques, special trophy races, bowling evenings, quizes, treasure hunts and Yorkshire fish and chip suppers.

The safeness of the water lends itself to junior members. There is a strong junior membership for all levels from beginners to experts which meets on Tuesday evenings throughout the season.

The club holds an annual N12 Open Meeting at the beginning of October which is held on the same weekend as nearby Ripon S.C.'s Open Meeting. There is a social pub meal on the Saturday evening making an enjoyable N 12 weekend in the North.
