The Deben Yacht Club is based in the market town of Woodbridge a few miles outside Ipswich in Suffolk. The club has organised sailing on the upper reaches of the River Deben for over 150 years. There are good facilities and an enthusiastic membership. Training, galley and rescue cover are all provided by willing volunteers.

National Twelve sailing presently takes place within a handicap fleet. The relatively confined waters encourage boats of similar speeds creating close racing. We now have five keen National 12 crews in the club supporting a good range of different designs. The class has seen a 100% growth rate over the past 2 years so things look good for the future!
