National 12s at Aldeburgh S.C.

Aldeburgh Sailing Club

Sailing on probably the best of the East Coast estuaries this club hosts one of the main open meetings in the region each year. The river has penty of room to permit launching and racing at any state of tide. Although there is not at present a fleet of Twelves they are welcome to participate in the club handicap racing. The class has been associated with the club since the founding of the Twelves in 1936.

Aldeburgh is located about 25 miles North East of Ipswich in Suffolk. To reach Aldeburgh drive up the A12 towards Lowestoft from Ipswich, turing right before the town of Saxmundham. Once within the town drive down the hill, turn right into the High Street and continue straight through the centre of town. The road turns directly into the gravel track that leads to AYC.
