About the Uffa King

The first National 12 design, by Uffa Fox. The plans were published by Yachting World in March 1936, and N1 was launched in the April (follow this link to N1 page). In September 43 boats went to Poole for the first championship, and by the end of the year some 175 boats were registered. The Uffa King design dominated the early years of the class.
