I bought Rael in January with the plan to sail her in the spring after completing a renovation. Well the lockdown has given me the chance to crack on with the renovation and she is now ready for the water and looks amazing. But as I have acquired another boat to get working on and I can’t keep 2 boats so Rael is now up for sale.

What work has been done?

Stripped all fittings down to the bare hull
Hull has been rubbed down and repainted.
Decks have been sanded epoxy filler to some surface cracks and repainted.
Cockpit and front bulkhead rubbed down and repainted.
Rudder stock and tiller sanded to bare wood and revarnished
Rudder blade refinished and repainted.
Wooden gunwhale strips removed sanded down and re varnished.

The hull and decks and rudder blade are incredibly smooth having down down through the grades from 400 to 5000.


The control lines have been replaced and they have been much simplified with kicker outhaul and Cunningham all in easy reach of crew. Outhaul and Cunningham 4:1, kicker is a cascade at 16:1

I am also adding new toe straps after Easter which will complete the work on the boat.

Comes with combi trailer. Trailer base has had new wheel bearings.

Dacron main and jib as well as a mylar main (numbers don’t match hull).

Shroud levers and highfield tensions the rig

Old slightly oversized cover but still some life left in it.

Boat available once lockdown measures have been lifted and it just needs saiiing.

This is the perfect boat entry into the class all the work has been down it just needs to be enjoyed. Simple controls will keep your crew busy. Virtually no maintenance and as a Paper Dart it has the reputation of being bullet proof.
