Apologies for the late link, but in two weeks time (Saturday 19th March) the first of the 2016 GUL series- the Burghfield SC Sprint Championships takes place. As last year this is a fast and fun start to the season with as many one lap races as possible being squeezed into the day. Similar to last year again, it will be run in conjunction with the OK's so with two fleets on the water it should be a fun filled event.

significant savings can be made on the entry fee by pre-registration (which does not require payment until the day) Entry without pre-registration £22 and with £17. This includes the £1 donation to the GUL overall prizes for 2016.

For more information please click the link below which will take you to BSC website and follow instructions for registration.

If anyone needs a crew I have a friend who is keen - she's a good RS200 sailor but not sailed a 12 before.

Well that was a fantastic event. Great race officering, great competition, great conditions. Many thanks to all at Burghfield and well done to Graham & Zoe for putting together a very consistent series of results.

We enjoyed the event, think Burghfield a great venue, sprint races a terrific format, and the Race Officer and his team truly professional. Thanks too to the sponsors, GUL, for the prizes.

Thanks for the pictures, Jeremy, they're great! I especially like the one that shows our position as the gun sounded for race 5. It was one of our better efforts. I was concerned for arriving early and being over but we managed to remain start side. Our best start was for race 6; the same scenario just better timed - but the one subject to GR and that counted for zip!
