Merry Christmas n12 ers

Having sailed on boxing day (too much food led to a very bubbly transom) we finally had a good look at the mainsail and we seem to have a starvation crease from the hounds to the clew. Roughly force 3 with some usual bough beech gusts.

Running around 25 on the shrouds (loos gauge) not sure of other settings. We did feel a little underpowered especially on the reaches and I felt like I needed a fair bit of kicker to control the roach in the leech.

Any pointers would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Is anyone staying in Northampton proper and heading back after the fireworks who could give us a lift home?

we're looking at b and b''s and they all seem to be in Northampton. Trying to work out the logistics.

Thanks George and Alice

Thanks to stokes bay for hosting.

Apologies to all for not actually getting out but we had 1 or 3 problems meaning we literally didn't get off the ground. Hopefully all sorted and many thanks to those who helped on the day.

Looked like a great days sailing. Will hopefully see you at Northampton  (we've at least got the right stickers on now....)

Quick sale need so all sensible offers considered.....

The last of the baggy trousers design. Hull just re-painted (oxford
blue). Decks just re-varnished. Foam sandwich hull with wooden decks.
Set of 2005 Pinnell and Bax sails, mainsail ,in kevlar, with plenty of
life left, jib ,in dacron ,still in great condition. Full soverign
combi trailer. Carbon mast and boom although mast could do with
re-varnishing it's mostly cosmetic at the moment. Spare alloy mast and
boom. Winder carbon rudder stock and winder rudder blade, with a carbon
kevlar centerboard. On the water adjustable rig tension and mast ram as
well as the usual sail controls. Spare experimental ,hinged ,
centerboard which would make a good project to fit it. Brand new
buoyancy bag covers. More info on the boat with some pictures of the
old paint job on database page 3434.

Overall a great boat, would make an ideal first 12 and will take you to
the front of the admirals cup fleet if she's pointed in the right
direction. Any questions don't hesitate to ask via email
(georgesmith95@hotmail.co.uk). Any viewings welcome at bough beech
sailing club in kent.

Regards George

How much do you recon my 12 3434 is worth? AC, Carbon mast and boom, Ali mast and boom, Winder Carbon stock, spare centre board + will have been repainted and varnished 1 suit of P&B's main ok jib in a good condition. Also she is down to weight and as brain (3111) said "she's a lovely boat much stiffer than mine"

Thanks George

I was wondering if anyone has any ideas about what's best to varnish decks with, what's best to paint the hull with and what to use to laquer the carbo mast?

Many thanks

Does my boat, single floored baggy trousers 3434, count as an admirals cupper?

Thanks George

I bought my 12 fairly recently and I have found my form in my box of national 12 treasures. The last Bouyancy test was in 04. What do I need to do if i'm re-registering the boat?

Many Thanks
