Paul, simple answer - get modern and don't wear knickers!

Or, do away with the "bobbles". I have a figure of 8 loop tied into the rope going through the pole. The knot on it is large enough to stop the rope end disappearing into said pole. This is NEVER undone. The bit of string used to tie the jib sheets to the jib clew goes through the loop when it is tied on so it attaches the pole at the same time. I have yet to get my knickers in a twist with this set-up.

So, I now understand the BW committee met last week and decided to not decide until 18th July, in the hope that some of the current guidance changes.

So today's the day the BW committee meet to call off BW this August. It's a shame but a small price to pay for being responsible. Is there any possibility of rescheduling for October half term do you think?

Spotted this week in a very sorry state - probably beyond repair.

What a great sail today - warm and enough for us to be fully hiked a lot of the time. Thanks to George and everyone at RHYC for putting it on. Well done Tom and Robbie for a clear win.

See you all again for the open meeting in the summer.

Strangely enough, I just tried again and it worked. Maybe the phone needed to be connected to the internet?

Anyone else having trouble downloading the fixtures? I get the message: Safari cannot download this file.

Any advice appreciated

Thanks to everyone at Northampton for a great weekend. The fact we were able to sail all 6 races, albeit not quite to the original schedule, is a testament to the quality of the organisation and flexibility the club was willing to show.

Thanks too to GUL for sponsoring the series for the past 4 (5?) years. Their gear is the best I have used. Sorry to learn they feel the need to move on.

Congratulations to Graham and Zoe on winning the GUL finale, the Inland Championship and the GUL series.

Angus, I usually find my Great Scottish Crew in front of me ......

Hmm! Not sure being in a pub before going sailing is a good idea ....... especially with a Scottish crew!  :-\

Is the rugby going to be screened at the club before the sailing? I don't particularly want to have to miss the first race by having to stay at home to see the game.
