I've just picked up paradigm 3533.
Trying to get her tunned up to a basic form of setting but whenever I pull rig tension on the mast just inverts. Seem as if the swings spreaders are not going any support.

Any tips on getting pre bend with these?
Are swinging spreader still in?

Thanks. I set it up this weekend and felt so much better.
Sadly the blocks have now pulled out of the floor for the kicker.

Fun and games  ;)

Thanks, both,
just trying to gauge as i have been told I'm not pointing high enough last week. and could not keep up with a radial yesterday.

Got a few things to sort out on the boat e.g stop things from pulling out before I can get the set up right.

Out of interest how do others perform in a general handicap race in an f3-4 would a well set up 12 (design 8 or similar) be in front of a laser?

should a 12 be pointing higher than Laser radial or Lark?

I'm thinking of converting the my 12 to an off the boom sheeting system.

Does anyone know of there is an off the shelf way of doing it?
Or is the a really bad idea?!  :o

Since my Daughter and I have got back in our 12 I've been doing a lot of 12 geeking out! ;) :D

I think the boat is great and can see why a lot of people fall in love with the boat and class. but with so many hull designs has anyone had any success being a larger helm? If so what Hull Design is best/Recommended

When I say larger helm, My scales comes to rest at  :o :o 18stone.  ::) ::) ::) all up crew weight is around 22stone ish.

We are currently playing in a Design 8
