Vintage National 12s - Starfish

About the design
The Starfish was designed by Mike Nokes for Wyche & Coppock in 1961. The original (N2020) was shown at the 1962 boat show. Nokes mounted the jib fairleads on slides on the rear edge of the foredeck, fitting a shock cord control to pull them inboard upwind, but which allowed them to be pulled outboard down wind.

A Starfish after restoration by Smilie Marine. (The aft bouyancy tank is not original.)
