Vintage National 12s - Sparklet

About the design Designed by Leslie Landamore to reduce wetted area and improve light wind performance. Intended for inland sailing, Sparklet introduced the 65:25 sail plan, which put more sail higher up the mast where it is more likely to clear dirty air from trees and buildings. Cost just £190 at the 1962 Boat Show! N2153, sailed by Robin Steavenson, won the Burton Cup in 1966 - 18 years after his first win!
