About the design
The Crusader is a good all round performer, they still show promise in light conditions but they are now slightly out classed on out right planning speed. The boats are well made and last well with wood being the main hull construction. The second hand market is good, these boats provide an excellent starting point for newcomers to the class. In subsquent years there were a few developments of the Crusader including the Crusader 2 and Crusader '88
